Dalgona Coffee Cake is a soft, moist, fluffy and popular cake variety that is loaded with the flavor of coffee.  This spongy and airy Dalgona Coffee Cake is easy to make and eggless. You will feel the deliciousness of dalgona coffee in each crumb. The best part of this cake is you follow the same process of any simple cake. This is a perfect tea time cake recipe. This is a simple, basic sponge cake with the addition of instant coffee.

This moist dalgona coffee cake is prepared with all purpose flour, instant coffee, milk and leavening agent. The addition of coffee makes it a stunning dessert. The whole process of a cake preparation needs only one bowl. It means that we add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix to make cake mixture. If we pay attention to the tips and tricks, it will be a moist and fluffy cake.

It is a perfect cake to serve to guests. These are loved by everyone adults or kids. So let’s make this amazing coffee cake.

Ingredients:

2 tsp. instant coffee
1 cup sugar powder
2 tbsp.+ ¼ cup milk
½ cup oil
¼ cup curd
1 and ½ cup maida
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla essence

Instructions:

Take instant coffee, sugar powder and 2 tbsp. milk in a bowl. Whisk to make it smooth and frothy.


Add oil and curd. Whisk again to make it smooth.



Place a sieve and add all dry ingredients flour, baking powder and baking soda. Sift the ingredients. Add vanilla essence.


Add milk and mix the mixture properly.


If batter is thick you can add some milk.


Grease cake tin and place a butter paper at the bottom. Pour mixture evenly into the tin and tap to even it.


Place it in oven and bake it for 25 – 30 minutes at 180 degree Celsius or till a fork or toothpick inserted into cake comes clean out.


Allow the cake to cool down for 10 minutes. Then remove the cake from mould.
Let it cool completely and cut into slices.


Dalgona coffee cake is ready to serve.


Tips:

  • Use fresh baking powder and baking soda.
  • Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredient until combined and try not to over mix. 
  • Bake until golden and a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • You can store it in refrigerator.
