Potato Nuggets | Potato Bites Recipe
Crispy Poha Potato Pops are delicious, crispy snacks and appetizer recipe that is prepared with poha, potatoes and spices. This is a vegan and no onion no garlic recipe. This is a deep fried and easy recipe. These pops or nuggets are an all-time favorite snack. This is a good option for weekend or any occasion. You may also add these in your party menu.
To make this recipe, poha is washed and soaked in some water and mixed with boiled potatoes and spices like black pepper powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, amchoor powder, chaat masala and herbs. Herbs give an aromatic flavor to these pops. The addition of poha gives some crispiness. You can make it without investing too much time and effort.
Potato pops can be served with green chutney and tomato ketchup. These pops can be made for breakfast or evening snacks. These can be served as appetizer or snacks. So now let’s start the process of potato nuggets.

Ingredients:
½ cup poha
3 boiled potatoes
Salt to taste
¼ tsp. red chilli powder
½ tsp. coriander powder
¼ tsp. amchoor powder
¼ tsp. black pepper powder
¾ tsp. mixed herbs
¼ tsp. garam masala powder
¼ tsp. chaat masala
1 tsp. cornflour
½ cup bread crumb
Oil for frying
Instructions:
Wash and soak poha in water. Remove excess water.
Grate boiled and peeled potatoes.
Add soaked poha and all spices like Salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, amchoor powder, black pepper powder, mixed herbs, garam masala powder and chaat masala.
Mix all and mash. Place on counter and give a rectangle log shape.
Cut into 1 cm pieces.
Take 1 tsp. cornflour and add ¼ cup water. Mix and make smooth slurry.
Dip pieces into slurry and coat with bread crumbs.
Fry them into hot oil. Keep flame medium.
Fry from both sides until they become crispy and golden brown.
Remove from oil and serve with a hot cup of tea.
Tips:
- Remove excess water from poha. It should not be watery.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- You can add refined flor or corn flour in place of poha.
- Give shape according to your preferences.
