Mango Sewiyan Falooda  is a scrumptious and tempting fusion of mango, sewiyan kheer and falooda. Mango faluda is an easy to make and healthy dessert. There are so many variations of falooda but this falooda recipe is much healthier with the flavor and goodness of mango.

To make mango sewiyan falooda, sewiyan kheer is prepared at first. Sewiyan Kheer is a perfect Indian sweet to celebrate a festival. This Kheer is one such yummy sweet pudding which is loved and enjoyed by everyone. The rich and creamy taste comes when we cook kheer on low heat. Thickening of milk gives a light golden colour to the kheer. The addition of nuts like almonds and raisins enhance its taste and the addition of sewiyan give a golden texture. You should have patience and enough time to get a delightful kheer.

Sabja seeds also known as basil seeds are the key ingredient of falooda. These seeds also have amazing health benefits. A mango puree is also prepared by blending mango, sugar and milk. Mango faluda is served by layering sabja seeds, mango puree and sewiyan kheer. Top this dessert with some chopped mango pieces, cashews, pistachio, some melon seeds and tutti frutti.

Basically falooda is an ice cream dessert made by layering basil seeds, ice cream and flavored milk. You can add your twist of flavours and make this recipe more interesting. It is a delight for sweet lovers. If you are hosting a party you can serve this dessert as it is indulgent and satisfying. So, try this delectable recipe and impress your loved ones.

Ingredients:

For sewiyan kheer-

½ ltr. Milk
½ cup roasted Sewiyan (vermicelli)
2 tsbp. Sugar
1 tbsp. raisins
1 tbsp. melon seeds
5-6 chopped almonds
½ tsp. green cardamom powder

For mango puree-

1 mango, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp. sugar
½ cup milk

For garnishing-

1 tbsp. sabja seeds
Some chopped pista, melon seeds, cashews
Tutti frutti

Ingredients:

Soak sabja seeds in ½ cup water for 15-20 minutes.


Making Sewiyan Kheer-

Take 500 ltr. milk in a pan. Boil on a medium flame. Add some roasted sewiyan. Mix well and cook on a low flame. 


Keep stirring so that it will not stick at the bottom. Cook the kheer for 20-25 minutes.


Add the sugar and mix well. Keep stirring.


Then add chopped almonds, melon seeds, rasins and cardamom powder into kheer. Mix well. 


Cook the kheer for another 10-15 minutes. When kheer gets its desire consistency, turn off flame.
Sewiyan kheer is ready. 


Let it cool properly and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Making Mango Puree-

Wash, peel and chop mango.
Take them in a blender. Add sugar and milk.


Blend to make a smooth paste. Pour in a bowl.


Layering of Falooda-

Add 2-3 tsp. soaked basil seeds.


Add 2-3 tbsp. sewiyan kheer and then pour 3-4 tsp. mango puree. Add 1 tsp. sabja seeds, some chopped mango pieces and chopped pista.


Again add some basil seeds. Then sewiyan kheer and mango puree. 


Top with some mango pieces.
Finally garnish falooda with some cashews, pista, melon seeds and tutti frutti.


Enjoy your sewiyan mango falooda.

Tips:

  • Use full fat milk to get a rich and creamy texture.
  • Stir continuously so that it cannot be burn at bottom.
  • Cook the kheer on low heat and in a heavy bottom pan.
  • You may add rose water or kewra to further enhance its flavor.
  • You can also add saffron.
  • You can use any type of sewiyan thick or thin.
  • You can give variations to layer according to your choice.
  • You can add nuts of your choice.
