2 cup maida
¼ tsp. salt
5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
¾ tsp. oregano
1 tsp. oil

For filling:

¾ cup processed cheese, grated
¾ cup capsicum, chopped
½ cup sweet corn
¾ tsp. herbs
¼ tsp. red chilli powder
¼ tsp. black pepper powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. pizza sauce

For garlic butter:

3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
¼ tsp. herbs
Some red chilli flakes for garnishing

Instructions:

Proofing-

Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Mix well until sugar and yeast are dissolved completely.
Leave for 15 minutes until bubbles form on surface.

Kneading-

Take maida in a mixing bowl. Add chopped garlic, salt, oregano and oil. Mix properly.
Pour yeast mixture into flour.

Use your hand and start to knead the flour. Knead until it becomes smooth and elastic.
This procedure can be 8-10 minutes longer. If dough is sticky, apply oil and knead until smooth.

Let rise in a warm place until doubled for 2-2.5 hours.

Making filling-

Take cheese in a bowl. Add chopped capsicum and corns.
Add herbs, red chilli powder, black pepper, pizza sauce and salt.

Mix properly and keep aside.

Making pizza Balls-

When the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release air that have developed. Divide into four parts.

Take one part, give round shape and flatten with your fingers. Put some cheese filling in the center and seal edges to make a ball.

Make all balls in same way.

Grease a plate and put these balls.
To make garlic butter, heat a pan. Add butter, garlic pieces and herbs.

Cook for 1 minute and apply this butter on pizza balls. Sprinkle some red chilli flakes.

Meanwhile, preheat the kadhai. Add salt at the bottom, place a stand. When it becomes hot, keep plate and close the lid.
Cook for 20-25 minutes on low flame or until crust becomes golden brown.

After they have done, remove plate from kadhai. Apply some butter and serve.

Enjoy hot cheesy balls with your favorite dip.

Tips:

  • Do not forget to add sugar into yeast mixture.
  • You may add onions, mushrooms or any type of pepper.
  • You may use mozzarella cheese.
  • Do not dissolve yeast into too hot water. It’s possible to kill yeast if you use too hot of water, so water should be lukewarm.
