Potato rava fingers (आलू और सूजी के फिंगर्स) are delicious, crispy sancks and appetizer recipe that is prepared with rava (semolina), potatoes and spices. This is a vegan and no onion no garlic recipe. This is a deep fried and easy recipe. These fingers are an all-time favorite snack. This is a good option for weekend or any occasion. You may also add these in your party menu.
To make this recipe, rava is cooked with some water and mixed with boiled potatoes and spices like black pepper powder, red chilli powder and herbs. Herbs give an aromatic flavor to these fingers. 1 cup water
½ tsp. oil
3 potatoes boiled and peeled
½ tsp. red chilli powder
salt to taste
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp. herbs
Oil for frying
Add salt, red chilli powder and rava.
Mix and stir continuously. Add oil and cook till rava soaks water and become dry. Let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
Boil, peel and mash potatoes in a bowl. Add rava mixture, black pepper powder, herbs and some salt.
Mix well using your fingers.
Meanwhile, add oil in a pan and let it heat.
Apply some oil on your hand. Take a small portion and roll it. Make a cylindrical shape to a finger length.
Make all fingers like this.
Drop them in hot oil and fry over medium flame.
Stir continuously. Fry till the potato rava fingers turn crispy and golden brown.
Drain them with the help of ladle and keep on absorbent paper.
