Easy Pasta Recipe | Spiral Pasta | Fusilli Pasta

Spiral shaped pasta also known as ‘Fusilli’ pasta (पास्ता) is a delicious and easy pasta recipe in Indian style. It is an Indo-Italian fusion food which have lots of veggies and sauces. Basically pasta is an Italian food but we cook it in our ways and style. This amazing, tasty and great recipes is perfect for breakfast, starter, snack, brunch or for as a full meal. You can also pack this for kid’s lunchbox. This is an indulgent pasta dish that is easy to make and will please the whole family.

Spiral shaped pasta is a quick recipe and have many variations. When you get bored from usual breakfast, you can cook this pasta. While pastas are available in different shapes and sizes like penne, macaroni, farfalle, rotini or spaghetti, you can also cook in different ways to create some lip-smacking dishes. I have already shared penne pasta and macaroni recipe.

This pasta can be prepared with veggies like carrots, beans, peas, broccoli, cabbage or corn. Veggies give it colourful and flavorful texture. Some people adds cheese or cream to make it creamier. The addition of herbs, black pepper powder and red chilli flacks elevates its taste and aroma. Its taste can be enhanced with any sauce like red sauce, tomato sauce, white sauce, pizza sauce or green chilli sauce.

This easy pasta can be served during breakfast or as an evening snack. Even you can take it as a full meal.

Pasta Recipe

Course:  Snacks

Ingredients:

2 cup Fusilli Pasta
2 tbsp oil
1 medium size onion, finely chopped
¼ capsicum, finely chopped
¼ carrot, finely chopped or grated
½ cup cabbage, finely chopped
1 tbsp. spring onion, finely chopped
5-7 french beans, finely chopped
½ tsp. red chilli powder
½ tsp. black pepper powder
½ tsp. herbs
1 tbsp. tomato sauce
1 tsp. soya sauce
1 tsp. vinegar
Salt to taste

Instructions:

In a pan, boil enough water along with ½ tsp. salt. When water comes to boil, add pasta. Begin to boil pasta on medium to high flame.
Boil for 10 minutes or till pasta becomes soft. Keep stirring so that it will not stick at the bottom.
Once it has done, drain off the water and keep aside.


Heat oil in a pan or kadhai. Add chopped onion in hot oil.


Sautee till the onions become translucent.
Now add all vegetables cabbage, carrot, capsicum, spring onion and beans.


Season with salt as per taste. Mix very well. Sautee for 1 minute till vegetables become half cooked. I don’t cook it completely as they will give some crunchiness.
Then add herbs, black pepper powder and red chilli powder. Mix properly.
Add pasta, tomato sauce, soya sauce and vinegar.


Mix well and stir fry for a minute till the sauce has coated the pasta well.


Your easy Pasta recipe is ready to serve.


Tips:

  • Add your choice of vegetables in pasta. You can add tomatoes, baby corn, celery or peas.
  • You can add any other spices like turmeric powder, coriander powder or garam masala to give an Indian touch.
  • You can skip herbs.
  • To make it more spicy,add green chillies.
