Kuttu ke French Fries
Kuttu ke French Fries is basically kuttu ke pakode. These are deep fried pakodas made with kuttu (Buckwheat) ka atta and potatoes. Kuttu ke French fries are easy to make and quick recipe. It’s just a variation of kuttu ke pakode. Crispy, crunchy kuttu French fries are full of taste and flavors. It is specially made on fasting days like Navratra, Janmashtami or Shivratri. It is so crispy and delicious that you can make any time even without fasting.
French fries are always everyone’s favorite tea time snack. If you're planning to have a fast during the auspicious festival of Navratri, then this vrat recipe is perfect for you. During vrat, we use only kuttu ka atta or singhada atta so you can make them with kuttu flour instead of besan or any flour. This French fries are prepared with kuttu flour, sendha namak (Rock salt), green chilli and black pepper. Kuttu ke pakode is made with boiled potatoes but I have used here raw potatoes. Chop them into French fries shape. The batter has to be thick like a pakoda batter. In this navratri recipe, sendha namak is used instead of regular salt which is also known as rock salt.
It is perfect snack for Navratri fasting. It can be served with curd or coriander chutney. You can serve it along with hot masala tea during regular days.
